SIS Apple Mac Mini Computer Lab: $26,966
These computers will provide teachers and students with access to tools that can be used to develop engaging and relevant classroom activities and projects. Teachers will be able to instruct students on effective Internet usage, Web 2.0 communication tools, research databases, and multimedia projects related to specific curricula.
SHS Interactive and Individualized Literacy Classroom: $8,060
Current educational research supports the use of technology to improve literacy learning and indicates that individualized instruction allows students to be more engaged and involved with their own learning. By using iPads, students in the Literacy Laboratory at Shorewood High School will be better prepared for reading in content area classes, college courses, and employment.
SEED also made a $60,000 donation to the General Education Fund and $10,000 went to new Spanish Books for grades 4-12.
